I recently send a mail to the staff at Pixabay about my concerns of 'hidden advertisement with the following link: https://pixabay.com/users/cliphotography-12199719/stating that I found this user is promoting a site called Real Poker, not on all pictures but in many you will find their brand represented.I got a friendly reply from Pixabay saying: We allowed the photos as it was not blatant advertising. You can check the forum below:https://pixabay.com/blog/posts/pixabay-license-what-is-allowed-and-what-is-not--4/ Although I do agree that it is indeed not 'blatant advertising' it is however what is called 'hidden advertisement' or also known as 'product placement' in advertisement agencies and the likes. There are however two things that need to be addressed:1) What does determine when these ads are allowed or when they are not allowed? By allowing one company you created a precedence and as such you will have troubles not allowing other brands.2) This is perhaps the most alarming, you must urgently realize that Real Poker is a gambling site - as such there are very specific LAWS surrounding advertisement depending on national and international jurisdiction. For example in many countries these ads are considered 'adult content' and should be dealt with accordingly. I would have thought that after my initial email, this matter would have been resolved swiftly, but since it didn't. Please allow some more consideration and thought.Thank you.
