I came up with a better idea, so I created a new interpretation of an image I previously submitted. The new image was rejected with a message like this "You have submitted a nearly identical image. In a set of similar images, submit the best one ..." It doesn't give me a chance the submit the best one at all. It just rejects the new one. There were two similar images, so I deleted one and tried to submit the new one again. Failed with the same message. Seeing that the only way for me to get the latest one on is to delete both, so I sacrificed both. Alas, I thought now there's no more similar image to cause the rejection of the new one, but I was wrong. I got a new error message saying something like, "You have uploaded this image twice before and was rejected. Do not resubmit the same or modified image that was previously rejected." Now, I lost the two good ones that already had many downloads and likes, but the new one is no longer accepted. I think the automatic rejection system needs to be improved to be smarter so that the improved version or a similar but different interpretation of the same image should be allowed. I also got "not to resubmit rejected picture" error the other day with another image, which had not been rejected previously, but I just happened to deleted it. Something is wrong. 1) I don't think anyone wants to resubmit the rejected image unless he/she has made some improvement. 2) I don't think anyone wants to submit a bunch of similar images to hurt his/her own ranking.
